Hospital Overview

Established 15 years ago, the Patna Hospital was set up to address the growing need for accessible and high-quality ophthalmic care in and around Bihar’s capital region. The centre was envisioned as a critical hub to reduce barriers to timely diagnosis, treatment, and surgical eye care for patients travelling from both urban and underserved surrounding communities.

Over the years, the hospital has grown steadily in both infrastructure and service capacity, strengthening its role as a leading centre for eye care delivery. Beginning with a focused care model, the hospital expanded its inpatient and surgical facilities to accommodate a growing patient load, with current bed capacity at 40 beds and further expansion milestones to be updated as the centre continues to scale.

Today, the Patna Hospital stands as a key centre for comprehensive eye care, combining consultation, diagnostics, surgical services, and patient support facilities under one roof. It continues to play a vital role in restoring sight and strengthening access to quality eye care across Bihar.
