Reaching people before blindness takes hold is where real impact begins. Akhand Jyoti’s Outreach Programmes are built on the belief that EYE CARE MUST REACH THE LAST MILE POPULATIONS, not wait behind hospital walls.
Across Bihar’s most underserved districts, our outreach teams step into villages where access to healthcare is limited, and awareness is low. Through door-to-door mobilisation, community awareness sessions, and village-level screening camps, patients are identified and guided towards TIMELY MEDICAL INTERVENTION.
Each outreach camp reduces delay, removes fear, and connects communities to care. By identifying patients early and linking them to the nearest Akhand Jyoti facility, the programme ensures that preventable blindness is treated before it turns permanent — QUIETLY CHANGING LIVES EVERY DAY.

Akhand Jyoti's outreach follows a precision-led cluster model, designed to ensure complete community coverage. Through the locally known "10 KA DABBA" (10 Square Box) approach, multiple screening camps are conducted across nearby villages within a defined radius — systematically identifying patients while minimising overlap.
The cluster culminates in a MEGA SCREENING CAMP at a central location, where referrals are consolidated, advanced screenings are conducted, and refractive errors are addressed.
On average, 1 CATARACT PATIENT IS IDENTIFIED FOR EVERY 10 PEOPLE SCREENED. The Outreach Programme is not an add-on — it is the CORE ENGINE OF LARGE-SCALE BLINDNESS PREVENTION, starting care at the point of greatest need.
BRIDGING THE GAP between underserved communities and essential eye care.
