Driving With Vision: Akhand Jyoti's Eye Screening Camp For Truck Drivers
Truck drivers are the backbone of our economy, transporting goods across vast distances and ensuring that businesses run smoothly.
The Importance of Good Sight for Truck Drivers
Truck drivers are the backbone of our economy, transporting goods across vast distances and ensuring that businesses run smoothly.
However, the demanding nature of their work often subjects them to harsh conditions that can adversely affect their vision. Poor eyesight can lead to dangerous driving situations, increasing the risk of accidents and jeopardizing not just the driver's safety, but also that of others on the road.
Restoring sight and promoting eye health among these high-risk groups is crucial for their well-being and the safety of all road users.

Akhand Jyoti's Commitment to Eye Healths
In line with this mission, Akhand Jyoti organised a successful eye screening camp at Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) Sipara, sponsored by Eicher and managed by Dr. Shroff's Charity Eye Hospital (SCEH). This initiative targeted truck drivers and staff, offering them the opportunity to undergo comprehensive eye screenings to detect any vision-related issues early on.
Approximately 50 truck drivers and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) employees participated in the camp, taking a vital step towards better eye health.

Early Detection: A Key to Prevention
The event is part of Akhand Jyoti's ongoing commitment to ensuring early detection and prevention of eye issues within high-risk groups. By addressing potential eye problems before they escalate, we contribute to the overall safety and well-being of those who spend long hours on the road.
Access to timely eye care can significantly enhance drivers' quality of life, allowing them to continue their essential work with confidence.

Donation = Restoring Sight
Over the last 18 years, each day we have poured tremendous time, effort and compassion in reaching out to indigent people who suffer from curable blindness. Our work has taken us to extreme places, among the less fortunate people. Our efforts to restore sight for these people have helped them regain hope and dignity.
Most of our work remains free for our patients and is made possible by patronage.
Each day our volunteers and team members come across many inspiring recitals of personal growth and tussle. These accounts help us to keep going on with our mission and sustain our impact.
You too can help to make an even larger impact.
If you find any joy or stimulation here, please support us by sharing your donations. If you have donated earlier, we convey our sincere thanks and look forward to your continued patronage.
